According to the provision of the Private University Act-2010, Mr. Talukder Abdul Khaleque is the present but first Chairman of the Board of Trustees, North Western University and North Western University Trust. The Board of Trustees (BOT), the apex body which provides the overall policy guidelines and approves all decisions of University Syndicate and annual budget of the University, is headed by its Chairman.

Under his proper guidance and able leadership, North Western University, a philanthropic organization, is heading towards progress Revenue obtained from the University is being reinvested for the overall development of this institution and enhancement of all types of academic facilities. Besides being the founding Chairman of the University leadership team, Mr. Talukder Abdul Khaleque is one of the most successful entrepreneurs whose contribution to the socio-political arena of the country is unique. For his diverse experience in leadership, the University has by this time made a remarkable progress.
